Transparency Market Research has published a
new report titled “Synthetic Zeolite Market - Global Industry Analysis,
Size, Share, Growth, Trends and Forecast 2014 - 2020.” According to
the report, the global synthetic zeolite market was valued at USD 1.30 billion in 2013
and is likely to reach USD 1.76 billion in 2020, expanding at a CAGR of 4.4%
between 2014 and 2020.
Zeolites are a group of hydrated aluminium
silicates, which are available abundantly in nature. Zeolites are also
synthesized industrially to suit specific application demands that are not met
by natural zeolites. The three dimensional structural framework of synthetic
zeolite allows for the manufacture of zeolites with different cavity sizes
suitable for application as adsorbents and catalysts. The ion exchange property
of synthetic zeolite is its most important characteristic, enabling its usage
in applications such as detergents, adsorbents and catalysts, and providing
scope for future applications such as anti-microbial agent.
